FAIR PLAY AWARDS

Kuwait Indian Football Federation
change of rules for Fair Play Award

Following the special EGM held at Royal Terrasse Restaurant on Friday 28th September 2012, the General Body decided to do away with the Season Championship Award which was given at the end of the season for regular tournament champions based on points system and decided to implement and promote the 'Fair Play' award program based on a new format.

Fair Play is considered one of the most important elements in the game of Football. It is included as a major rule in F.I.F.A.'s own code of conduct. To Play Fair is to play with grace and dignity; it is to promote the more encouraging points to the supporters and to the younger generations so that the game is turned around into a more socially enjoyable experience.

The existing KIFF Fair Play award at the end of the season considered only cautions and sending off offences of players on the field of play and in rare cases  the off field behavior based on warning letter issued by KIFF.  The existing system is as follows:-

Yellow Card
Red Card
Warning Letter
Minus 1 Point
Minus 2 Points
Minus 2 Points

The new Fair Play scoring system will incorporate the above plus the team behavior from not only the players, but also the team management and officials.

Referees ,  KIFF Observers and Organizers are required to submit Fair Play scores after every game. A maximum of 10 points can be scored for each of the categories.

Fair Play Score sheet should be hand over in person or emailed to the Sports Secretary within 3 days of the game being played.
