  1. DIGITAL GROUND IS NOT DIGITAL IT’S A KILLER GROUND
I am surprised at the utter ignorance or non care attitude of all the football clubs who stage football tournaments at DIGITAL ground, Kuwait city. The place is a burial ground full of construction stones and debris, and our GREAT FOOTBALL TOURNAMENTS are held there.
I dread the day when someone gets seriously injured on this ground. Years have gone bye and the chalta attitude of these so called clubs, who hold sway over anything that moves , have not bothered to do anything about it. Many players dread playing on Digital ground but they don’t have a choice. It is just the love of the game that our boys are willing to shine at any cost under such harsh conditions. Here comes the frustrations and other negative-ness under which they play.
Safe and clean ground should have been the top priority of these clubs. Even FIRST AID in case of an injury is not up to standards.
I know to maintain and have a ground of our own in Kuwait is not cheap, but then, are we going to sacrifice and risk, the well being of our players , who are here in Kuwait to make a living for themselves and their families back home , cos football doesn’t put bread on the table for most of them.
There are no set of rules under which the organizing body has full and complete transparency of events , Decisions taken are locked in a trunk and the keys thrown in the gulf sea so that no one reviews any decision whether RIGHT or WRONG. We believe in being arrogant and adamant and not allow consensus to over-ride our unjust decisions, how long are we going to CONTINUE this chalta way???? Wake up and help our youngsters to do what they can do best , that is to play clean football without thinking who is behind their back to stab them at any cost.
The same Digital Ground can be physically viewed by a line of supporters and players who can make a sweep of the whole ground for stones and other items which can hurt the players. One sweep across before every game can help a lot. I for one will stand for it and there are many who will do the needful for the love of the game., and at the same time we will be able to cooperate with each other and have much better and cleaner game of football where all players respect the well being of other fellow players.
The above is just my observation, its up to the organizers to implement and make changes for the betterment of the wonderful game of football in Kuwait.

    1. Dear Alec,

I absolutely agree with what you have written, but I believe it is each individual team's call to participate or not in such tournaments organized on the Digital Grounds. As you are well aware, all KIFF affiliated tournaments are conducted at the Ministry of Health grass ground in Shuwaikh. I hope Clubs organizing tournaments on the Digital Grounds will take heed of your suggestions.

      Cheers
